Operations Supervisor Job Description

Sephora is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our team. As an Operations Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the store.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee inventory management, including monitoring and managing inventory levels, conducting regular stock counts and audits, and implementing inventory control procedures.
  • Manage cash handling processes, including cash register operations, deposits, and change funds, and train and supervise cashiers to ensure adherence to cash handling policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with loss prevention teams to minimize theft and fraud, and conduct cash audits and reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Monitor and maintain store cleanliness, organization, and visual merchandising standards, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance, support, and direction to operational staff, including cashiers and stock associates, and conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to drive individual and team development.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in retail operations or supervisory roles is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling cash and inventory.
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve operational goals.
