Job Title: Delford Operative - Metal Detector Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Delford Operative to join our team at Pilgrim's Europe. As a Delford Operative, you will be responsible for monitoring and controlling the metal detector CCP, performing checks as directed by company policy and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and Control Metal Detector CCP: Ensure the metal detector is functioning correctly and performing checks as directed by company policy and customer requirements.
  • Perform Quality Checks: Conduct regular quality checks to ensure the product meets the required standards.
  • Collaborate with Team Members: Work effectively with other operatives and supervisory staff to ensure smooth production processes.
  • Report Issues and Concerns: Highlight any issues or concerns with quality to the area Line Controller, Process controller, Operation Team Leader or Production Manager for immediate corrective action.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety Protocols: Work in a manner that promotes the health and safety of oneself and others, and report any health and safety issues to the immediate manager.
  • Maintain Productivity Standards: Ensure productivity standards are maintained and work in a manner that actively seeks to reduce any negative environmental impact.
  • Record Information: Record all information generated throughout the shift on the appropriate sheets, accurately and legibly.
  • Communicate Effectively: Quickly report any anomalies to the appropriate manager so that corrective action may be taken.
  • Ensure Equipment Availability: Ensure any equipment needed is available and functioning, and ready to hand, to enable completion of checks in a competent and efficient manner.
  • Stay Up-to-Date: Acquaint oneself with changes to product specifications and testing procedures as they evolve, thus ensuring operation to the current standard expected.
  • Pass on Information: At shift change over, ensure all relevant information, documentation and equipment is passed to the oncoming Delford operative.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in a production environment is preferred.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential.
  • Attention to Detail: A high level of attention to detail is required to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Ability to Work in a Team: Ability to work effectively in a team environment is essential.
