General Manager Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to join our team at the Radcliffe Arms in Hitchin. As a General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of the pub, maintaining high standards of food and drink delivery, and driving excellence in customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the pub's operations, including front and back of house, to ensure seamless delivery of food and drink.
- Adhere to all legislative requirements, including health and safety, licensing, and employment law.
- Deliver sales, profit, and team retention targets while maintaining a fun and supportive work environment.
- Conduct regular stock control and compare to usage reports to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain high food quality and work with the kitchen team to ensure effective margin and report on activity to drive improvements.
- Create and maintain a motivated team, identifying talent and ensuring succession.
- Regular employee appraisals and implementation of performance management.
