About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Footwear Buyer to join our team at boohoo group. As a key member of our buying team, you will be responsible for managing the footwear department and driving the growth of our footwear business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement product development strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Work closely with the senior leadership team to influence strategic plans and developments.
  • Ensure effective communication with junior, assistant, and trainee buyers in designated areas and across the entire department.
  • Monitor stock levels and manage open-to-buy accordingly.
  • Respond to competitor analysis and provide insights to inform business decisions.
  • Complete buying trips as needed within the UK and internationally.
  • Liaise with marketing and e-commerce teams to develop and maintain professional working relationships and ensure sales are maximised through the site and in line with overall strategy.
Requirements
  • Successful held a Junior Buyer or Buyer role, managing footwear categories.
  • Outstanding industry knowledge, be current and ahead at identifying trends and commercial wins for the brand.
  • Highly commercial with a passion for the menswear industry and a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience of developing and mentoring junior team members.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
