Geological Resource Coordinator

The Geological Resource Coordinator will offer strategic guidance and specialized knowledge in the establishment and execution of optimal geological and resource methodologies throughout all mining operations of ArcelorMittal. This role is essential in ensuring that mine geology, resource identification, and quality assurance/control practices adhere to established standards. Key duties encompass assisting operations with geological interpretations, three-dimensional geological modeling, geostatistical grade assessment, and resource classification. The Coordinator will also focus on reconciling mineral resources and reserves with production metrics across all mining sites.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Promote a culture where Health and Safety are paramount
  • Formulate and implement exploration and resource identification standards across the organization
  • Oversee governance for efficient exploration and resource generation initiatives
  • Conduct compliance and technical assurance evaluations at operational sites
  • Support mine geology protocols and exploration methodologies
  • Advise on the governance of exploration and resource development activities
  • Execute geo-metallurgical modeling and assist in mineral resource assessment

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geology or Geoscience; a Master's degree is preferred

Essential Experience:

  • Proven experience in mining geology, resource assessment, and geological surveying
  • Technical expertise in resource modeling and quality assurance/control protocols
  • Experience in analyzing geological and geophysical data
  • Familiarity with contemporary mining systems
