About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Worker to join our team at CareTech Community Services Ltd.

As a Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with learning disabilities, severe physical disabilities, autistic spectrum disorder, challenging behaviour, mental health, forensic needs, and acquired brain injury.

You will be responsible for implementing individual support plans, participating in day-to-day activities, and maintaining effective communication with service users, families, and colleagues.

We offer a range of benefits, including flexible working hours, 28 days inclusive of Bank Holidays, and a dedicated learning and development programme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the day-to-day implementation of individual support plans and activities
  • Maintain effective communication and liaison with service users, families, and others while respecting confidentiality
  • Support service users with meal preparation, laundry duties, cleaning, and social events
  • Maintain accurate notes and records as required
  • Work as part of a team to provide high-quality care
Requirements
  • Diploma in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards one
  • Experience in supporting adults with challenging behaviour, learning disabilities, and/or mental health issues
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Confidence to work alone or as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Passion to work with vulnerable adults
  • Commitment to achieving high standards of safeguarding
