Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our Primary School team in Croydon. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting children with diverse needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, and Speech, Language, and Communication needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a safe and inclusive environment.
  • Provide academic and emotional support to pupils, promoting independence and personal development.
  • Liaise with colleagues to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Record and report pupil progress to teachers, highlighting areas of strength and need.
Requirements:
  • GCSE Maths and English Language qualification minimum Grade 4 or equivalent.
  • Valid in-date Enhanced DBS (preferably on the Update Service).
  • Understanding of Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.
  • Experience providing specialist support to children with SEN, preferably 1:1 support with children who have moderate to severe behavioural difficulties.
