About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dental Nurse to join our team in the Maxillo Facial and Orthodontic Out Patients Department at Cambridge University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will provide chairside support to Oral Maxillofacial Surgery and Orthodontist clinicians and other clinical staff, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day management of patient records and ensure accurate documentation
  • Work alongside medical staff in minor surgical procedures, adhering to strict health and safety protocols
  • Train and support new staff members, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork

Person Specification

  • Hold a recognized qualification in Dental Nursing, such as the NEBDN National Certificate or S/NVQ Level 3 in Oral Healthcare
  • Evidence of continuing professional development and a commitment to staying up-to-date with industry best practices
  • Proven experience in dental nursing, with a strong understanding of infection control and clinical governance
