About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Energy Assistant to join our Energy & Sustainability Team. As an Energy Assistant, you will play a key role in regulating and monitoring the energy used in our organisation and by our residents, particularly in our large portfolio of heat networks.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to Anchor's Environmental Sustainability and Net Zero Carbon strategy, which aims to drive down energy use and carbon emissions to make residents' homes more comfortable and affordable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake remote monitoring of communal heating systems and heat networks, managing data and information about energy consumption, energy management, and carbon reduction activities.
  • Act upon enquiries from colleagues arising from our utility contracts, monitor metering and billing data to ensure residents receive accurate bills, and support the delivery of a wide range of energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives within Anchor.
  • Support the delivery of Anchor's Environmental Sustainability and Net Zero Carbon strategy, including optimising heating systems to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions.
Requirements
  • Good communication skills, with a strong level of literacy and numeracy.
  • Good data management and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and present data effectively.
  • Technical understanding of heating systems and their controls, and a good understanding of a building's energy usage, utilities, and renewable technologies.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours.
