Job Description

Job Title: Physical Soft Commodity Operations & Logistics Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Commodity Operations Specialist to join our team at Imperium Commodity Search. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supporting our trading team across edible nuts and soft commodity operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Submit trading slips and shipping documentation into the internal trade capture system
  • Work with traders on ensuring shipping instructions are set, sent, and delivered to relevant shipping and logistics providers
  • Forward shipping and booking confirmations to clients where required, and update them on shipment progress where queries or delays arise
  • Manage documentation across the logistics and operations remit of the soft commodity trading business, ensuring all is submitted into the system and updated where required
  • Arrange and manage spot release/delivery of warehouse-stored goods (soft commodities, nuts, seeds, ingredients, etc.)
  • Liaise and communicate documentation to banks for outward collections and ensure invoicing documentation is complete and timely for all shipments and deliveries

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a commodity trading operations, physical trade support, or commodity logistics role
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
  • A good understanding of ERP/Logistics software systems
  • A down-to-earth and communicative persona
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • A thorough understanding of containerized commodity/ingredient/food industry product shipping and logistics processes and procedures
