We are seeking skilled Plant Operators/Labourers to manage machinery and assist in the extraction of minerals while ensuring the site is maintained to the highest standards. This role involves a variety of responsibilities crucial to the efficient operation of our quarry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on both mobile and fixed machinery to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Conduct necessary cleaning and greasing of equipment to maintain performance standards.
  • Report any machinery defects to site management using the designated reporting tools.
  • Oversee the quality control of products being dispatched.
  • Utilize plant GPS technology to adjust ground levels accurately.
  • Execute additional tasks related to quarry operations as directed by supervisory staff.
  • Document working hours accurately and submit timesheets weekly.
  • Maintain thorough records of production data, including any equipment downtimes and breakdowns.
  • Notify management of any materials that do not meet production standards.
  • Understand and follow company protocols regarding equipment failures to minimize operational downtime.
  • Identify and communicate any training needs to line management, particularly for compliance with legal requirements.
  • Ensure personal and team safety by adhering to safety protocols at all times.
  • Represent the Mick George Group professionally and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Maintain regular communication with site management to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Valid UK driving license.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience operating Dozers, 360 Excavators, or Dump Trucks.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
  • Familiarity with GPS technology for machine control.
