Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to join our team at Probe UK. As a key member of our manufacturing operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the production process and ensuring the timely delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage a team of approximately fifteen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Drive continuous improvements in production processes, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing changes to increase productivity and efficiency.
  • Oversee production schedules, ensuring that projects are completed on time and to the required quality standards.
  • Mentor and train team members on best practices and safety protocols, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • Maintain machine efficiency and troubleshoot issues as needed, ensuring that production equipment is running at optimal levels.
  • Collaborate with other supervisors to optimize production processes, sharing best practices and expertise to drive business growth.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on reduction of cycle times, increase productivity, and new product introduction.
  • Reduce tooling costs and maintain a high level of housekeeping, ensuring that the production environment is safe and efficient.
Requirements:
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Experience drawn from a CNC environment, with a proven track record of driving continuous improvements.
  • Ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced environment, with a flexible approach to working hours.
  • Happy to work morning shift, with the ability to cover shifts if needed.
  • Previous experience of supervising operators and setters, with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes.

  • A competitive salary of £35,000 - £45,000, depending on experience.
