About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Schaeffler as a Sustainability & EHS Professional, where you will play a key role in driving the company's sustainability goals and ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sustainable practices and programs to reduce the company's environmental footprint and improve overall sustainability.
- Design and implement policies, standards, and guidelines for environmental, health, and safety (EHS) related topics, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and laws.
- Manage and coordinate EHS-related projects, including audits, risk assessments, and training programs.
- Provide expert advice and support to stakeholders on EHS-related matters, including sustainable processes and products.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote a culture of sustainability and EHS excellence within the organization.
Requirements
- Proven experience in environmental health and safety, with a strong understanding of relevant regulations and laws.
- NEBOSH General Certificate (required); NEBOSH Fire Certificate and Diploma (desired).
- Experience with manual handling assessments and knowledge of HSE ART Tool.
- Background in medium to high-volume manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Approximately 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A flexible approach to work and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
