We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified professional to join our Executive Risks team as a D&O Underwriter. This is a key role in executing our Directors and Officers Liability single risk strategy for SCOR Specialty Insurance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the single risk D&O strategy
  • Achieve and exceed financial targets for this line of business
  • Assist the Executive Risks team in growing and refining the underwriting methodology for D&O and related product lines
  • Contribute to long-term growth strategy, including development of new policy forms
  • Operate within delegated authority levels on assignment of higher technical complexity and coordination
  • Develop new and existing relationships with broking houses throughout the UK&I and Europe
  • Collaborate with other SCOR Specialty underwriters to provide comprehensive "all lines" whole account solutions
  • Maintain an overview of all claims advised and provide input on claims negotiations and claims settlement
  • Proactively manage accounts and make adjustments to ensure a long-term, profitable book of business
  • Develop and maintain relationships with distributors in support of business retention and acquisition
  • Stay up-to-date with legal, regulatory, and industry trends that may impact this line of business
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of successful underwriting of Directors & Officers Liability and related lines of business
  • Experience focused on the Commercial and/or Financial Institutions
  • Strong relationship with distribution partners throughout the UK&I
  • Accountability, team-oriented, strong business acumen, communication skills, self-starter, flexibility, time management, and strong ethics
Education
  • Degree educated or equivalent
  • Insurance Industry designations (ACII, etc.) desired but not required
