Job Title: D&O Underwriter

SCOR Specialty Insurance is seeking a highly motivated and qualified professional to join our Executive Risks team as a D&O Underwriter. This is a key role in executing our Directors and Officers Liability single risk strategy for our US traded risk and internationally publicly listed entities portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute the single risk D&O strategy to achieve financial targets and contribute to the growth of the SCOR Specialty Insurance Americas results.
  • Assist the Executive Risks team in growing and refining the underwriting methodology for D&O and related product lines.
  • Develop new and existing relationships with broking houses throughout the UK&I and Europe to seek new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with other SCOR Specialty underwriters to provide comprehensive whole account solutions.
  • Manage accounts and make adjustments to ensure a long-term, profitable book of business.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with distributors in support of business retention and acquisition.
  • Stay up-to-date with legal, regulatory, and industry trends that may impact this line of business.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of successful underwriting of Directors & Officers Liability and related lines of business.
  • Experience focused on the Commercial and/or Financial Institutions.
  • Strong relationship with distribution partners throughout the UK&I.
Personal Competences:
  • Accountability, team-oriented, strong business acumen, communication skills, self-starter, flexibility, time management, strong ethics.
Managerial Competences:
  • Willingness to develop the competency skills needed to become a team leader as the business grows.

Education: Degree educated or equivalent. Insurance Industry designations (ACII, etc.) desired but not required.
