About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Product Design Engineer to join our team at Hubbard Products. As a Product Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and improving products, ensuring quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness throughout the development process.
Key Responsibilities
- To design and develop new products, taking into account manufacturing capabilities and component limitations.
- To ensure that all design work meets technical specifications and is in accordance with agreed production designs.
- To oversee the building of prototypes and work closely with other engineers and technicians.
- To provide technical support to sales and support teams, as well as installation/service engineers.
- To continuously seek ways to improve product design and reduce production costs.
- To work as part of a Development Project Team to design new or improved products for manufacture.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year's experience in Computer Aided Design or relevant Engineering qualification or degree.
- Experience of Autodesk Inventor or Solid Works software is advantageous but not essential.
- Previous experience of producing engineering and/or technical drawings is advantageous but not essential.
