About the Role:This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week. You will be responsible for creating a nurturing environment that meets the individual needs of each child, while supporting the team in delivering exceptional childcare services.
Key Responsibilities:- Work collaboratively with parents and carers to cater to each child's unique needs, observing, planning, and evaluating development activities, and maintaining regular communication with parents.
- Support the Room Leader in ensuring that all nursery initiatives are fully integrated into the room, adhering to the EYFS at all times.
- Respond to parent queries or requests in a polite and professional manner, seeking help or signposting parents to the correct person within the nursery as needed.
- Support new staff induction into the room to ensure consistency of care.
- Take responsibility for equipment and furniture in the room, ensuring any issues are flagged appropriately.
- Experience working in a day nursery.
- Relevant Early Years qualification – Level 3.
- Understanding and working knowledge of the EYFS.
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements, safeguarding, and pediatric first aid.
- Valid DBS check.
