Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform complex engineering calculations to design and develop manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Analyze product requirements to determine the most effective manufacturing routing and develop equipment, processes, and products.
  • Design and develop tooling and processes to meet quality and production standards, and document all processes and tooling in applicable systems.
  • Support supply chain verification and implement programs to continuously improve quality, cost, and cycle time.
  • Develop equipment requirement and specification documents, and lead and implement process validations.
  • Plan, execute, evaluate, and document new equipment plant trials and complete summary reports.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of experience in various engineering fields relating to manufacturing, new product and process development, automation, and equipment design.
  • BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related field, with a focus on process equipment design and automated systems.
  • Experience with extrusion and applicable tooling and high shear compound mixing is desired.
  • Proficient in CAD and ANSYS.
  • Knowledge of control systems is desired.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentations and public speaking.
