About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Internal Financial Controls Specialist to join our team at BCT Resourcing. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for maintaining the Internal Control Framework across the Group, ensuring compliance with SOX requirements, and providing assurance over financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the Internal Control Framework, including the accuracy of controls maintained on the control platform.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX requirements and develop a strong control environment through up-to-date process and control documentation.
  • Support management in the identification and management of key risks.
  • Conduct annual SOX testing in line with Group methodology to provide assurance over financial reporting.
  • Manage the control remediation process for related control gaps/deficiencies.
  • Monitor control performance in Internal Control tool.
  • Ensure the Internal Control tool is maintained for specific controls.
  • Produce assigned reporting for both Executive and non-Executive management.
  • Provide control oversight and identify control process improvements.
  • Rationalize overlapping and duplicate controls.
Requirements
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA).
  • Internal Audit or Risk background within the Insurance industry is essential.
  • Good SOX understanding and experience.
  • Sound grasp of risk management principles and practices.
  • Clear operational mind-set with first-hand experience of process re-engineering, root cause, and business analysis.
  • Analytical thinker/pragmatic problem solver.
  • Ability to deliver against tight deadlines and competing priorities.
