About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement Assistant to join our team in the IT sector. As a key member of our procurement team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Update and maintain accurate product and logistical information in our systems.
  • Build strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure the best possible cost-price for our orders.
  • Monitor order status and ensure all relevant stakeholders are updated throughout the process.
  • Provide regular reports on stock levels, sales, and special pricing as required.
  • Regularly check and adjust stock inventory to ensure it aligns with our stock policy.
  • Manage and coordinate the return of goods to suppliers.
  • Escalate any issues or decisions outside of your remit to the Procurement Manager for resolution.
Requirements
  • A role or position where attention to detail, accuracy, and working to deadlines were key skills needed.
  • Experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, logistics, or similar is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • A strong sense of initiative and a logical approach to managing and prioritizing tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with internal colleagues and external suppliers.
  • Team-centric and positive attitude.
  • Full, clean, UK driver's license and access to own transport.
