Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice and guidance to schools, social care colleagues, and other stakeholders on matters related to children who are not looked after, but have a social worker, or were previously looked after and now are under a Special Guardianship Order, or who have been Adopted, or children in formal Kinship Care.
  • Deliver training and professional development opportunities to schools and other stakeholders on matters related to children who are not looked after, but have a social worker, or were previously looked after and now are under a Special Guardianship Order, or who have been Adopted, or children in formal Kinship Care.
  • Work closely with schools, social care colleagues, and other stakeholders to identify and address the needs of children who are not looked after, but have a social worker, or were previously looked after and now are under a Special Guardianship Order, or who have been Adopted, or children in formal Kinship Care.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with schools, social care colleagues, and other stakeholders to ensure that the needs of children who are not looked after, but have a social worker, or were previously looked after and now are under a Special Guardianship Order, or who have been Adopted, or children in formal Kinship Care are met.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience of working with schools and social care colleagues.
  • Thorough knowledge and experience of schools' statutory responsibilities around admissions, attendance, exclusions, SEND, and safeguarding.
  • Ability to maintain effective professional relationships at all levels and at times manage complex meetings.
  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and well-organized with the flexibility to meet deadlines.
