Senior Product Development Manager

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to join our team as a Senior Product Development Manager. This role will play a key part in driving forward our client's product range in line with an ambitious growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key bedbank and global hotel chain suppliers to negotiate market-leading rates, contract terms, and exclusive offers.
  • Own and manage the XML/API strategy to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and accurate technical solutions for delivering connected supplier rates into the business.
  • Accountable for the trading performance of designated product lines, ensuring they meet business objectives.
  • Create and implement product strategies for new destinations, using market research, competitor analysis, and performance reviews.
  • Develop and manage strong supplier relationships across a range of product types and international destinations.
  • Ensure all designated product lines and suppliers adhere to full Health and Safety requirements.
  • Develop and source funding for marketing opportunities from suppliers.
  • Support sales teams with product training and information.
  • Collaborate with IT teams on technical solutions for connectivity.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working within a Product/Purchasing management role within a UK Tour Operator.
  • Previous experience of working with supplier connectivity technologies and processes for delivering hotel rates.
  • Strong knowledge of the online travel sector.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Confident decision maker.
