About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Design Engineer to join our team at Tyman UK & Ireland. As a Product Design Engineer, you will play a critical role in the development of our products, ensuring they meet customer requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Development: Design, develop, and test products in line with customer requirements, industry standards, and certification.
  • Design Release and Engineering Change Process: Follow a robust design release and engineering change process to ensure products are designed and developed efficiently.
  • FMEA and VAVE: Conduct FMEA and VAVE studies to improve product design integrity and reduce costs.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales, production, and quality assurance.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure products are designed with safety and handling in mind, and promote a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Proven Mechanical Design Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical product design.
  • Design Software Skills: Proficient in 3D design software, such as SolidWorks and Driveworks.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical team members.
  • Industry Knowledge: Up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
