Professional Support Lawyer Opportunity

Jameson Legal is seeking a skilled Professional Support Lawyer to support their finance, corporate, and regulatory team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, working 21 hours per week. The role can be aligned to any of their offices or undertaken on a remote basis.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified lawyer with at least 3 years' post-qualified experience in corporate, banking, and finance, funds, and regulatory work. Prior experience as a Professional Support Lawyer is desirable but not essential. Exposure to working in an offshore firm would be of interest but is not a prerequisite.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide professional and technical legal support to fee-earners across the practice group
  • Contribute to standard forms and precedents
  • Horizon scan to keep the firm and team up to date with the latest legal and regulatory developments
  • Build know-how collateral
  • Develop and provide topical technical training and seminars to the internal team and external clients
  • Explore and utilize automation and technology uses for the knowledge management/professional support team
  • Ad hoc In-House legal matters, including reviewing supplier agreements and acting as a point of contact for general queries from the team

The successful candidate will work closely with all fee-earners within the financial services and regulatory practice group and report into the Knowledge Management Director.
