Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Professional Indemnity Lawyer to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As a leading insurance firm, we offer a unique opportunity for an ambitious lawyer to further their career within our National Professional Indemnity team.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to manage a broad-ranging caseload, including defending civil liability claims, advising on regulatory and disciplinary matters, and focusing on complex disputes and advisory work within the Financial Conduct Authority-regulated space.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Defend clients against civil liability claims
  • Advise on regulatory and disciplinary matters, including coverage disputes
  • Manage complex disputes and advisory work, often within the Financial Conduct Authority-regulated space

About You:

  • You have at least 4 years of post-qualification experience
  • Experience of coverage disputes and advisory matters in the financial, professional, and management lines sectors
  • A strong knowledge of Financial Conduct Authority Regulation and Financial Ombudsman Service procedure is necessary
  • You have established contacts in the insurance market
  • A secondment to an insurance broker would be advantageous
