We are pleased to present an exciting opportunity with a well-established facilities management provider. We are currently seeking a Mobile HVAC Maintenance Technician to oversee a portfolio of commercial properties in the London area. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical or HVAC background, supported by relevant qualifications (C&G / NVQ), and a solid history in commercial maintenance. This role requires the technician to travel between various sites, performing essential maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical systems including pumps, motors, seals, bearings, and compressors.
- Maintain air conditioning systems, focusing on Air Handling Units and Fan Coil Units (including filter changes and cleaning).
- Perform resets on chillers as necessary.
- Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) for operational efficiency.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping in maintenance log books.
- Coordinate with specialist subcontractors during maintenance tasks.
- Provide assistance and technical support to fellow engineers.
- Note that this role primarily involves mechanical and electrical tasks, with minimal plumbing or fabric work.
- Shift pattern: 4 days on, 6 days off, followed by 6 days on, 4 days off - 07:00 to 19:00 - Day shifts only.
- City & Guilds / NVQ certification in Mechanical or Air Conditioning disciplines.
- F-Gas Category 1 certification is essential.
- Ability to provide copies of trade qualifications is required.
- Demonstrated experience in commercial building maintenance.
- Familiarity with critical systems such as chillers, HVAC, AHUs, and FCUs.
- Multi-skilled with strong communication abilities.
- Exceptional customer service skills are a must.
- Willingness to work on a foot mobile basis, attending multiple sites as needed.
