About the Role

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Healthcare Ireland Group. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents in a warm and safe environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care and support to residents with activities of daily living, including personal care and mobility in accordance with individual care plans and resident preferences.
  • Observe and monitor the wellbeing of residents, ensuring that any unusual physical, mental or emotional occurrences are promptly referred to senior staff/the primary nurse and documented as appropriate.
  • Monitor and allocate the work for care assistants.
  • Develop and maintain a good professional relationship with residents, colleagues and visitors, responding promptly and courteously to requests and enquiries.
  • Responsibility for the administration and management of medication, medication audits and storage in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Undertake any other duties that may be reasonably required as designated by the Home Manager.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a care home setting.
  • Experience supervising staff.
  • Medications experience within a care setting.
  • The Right to Work in the UK.
  • Educated to a minimum GCSE/NVQ 3 or above (or similar qualification) with a good standard of English.
  • Previous Care Experience.
