FitzRoy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in Abingdon. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting two adults with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs, who may display challenging behaviors.

We are looking for an experienced support worker or healthcare assistant who can demonstrate best practice in supporting individuals with autism, mental health needs, acquired brain injury, or learning disabilities, and those who have experienced trauma. If you have a passion for delivering high-quality care and support, we would love to hear from you.

Vacancy Details:

  • Full-time and part-time roles available
  • Day shifts: £11.53 per hour weekdays and £12.68 weekends
  • Currently offering + £2.50 for overtime shifts
  • Time and a half or double time for public holidays
  • Sleep-ins: £74.00 per night
  • 30 days' holiday when you start

About the Role:

As a Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our service users. You will be responsible for providing flexible support to meet the needs of the individuals, including personal care, supporting with daily activities, and promoting independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support individuals with their personal care needs, including showers and baths
  • Encourage and support individuals to participate in activities and hobbies
  • Provide flexible support to meet the needs of the individuals, including proactive and creative approaches
  • Work to a positive behavior support plan, with person-specific training for staff members
