Job Title: Global Infrastructure Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

The Global Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and supporting IT infrastructure technology in the delivery of STERIS' services and solutions across all locations. This includes:

  • Remediation of infrastructure incidents and requests for Global STERIS IT infrastructure, services, and solutions within agreed SLAs/OLAs & respective KPIs.
  • Proactive monitoring of Global STERIS IT infrastructure, services and solutions using available toolsets.
  • Works with global IT organization in the implementation of new/updated technology solutions/standards aligned to our Global Strategy.
  • Maintains Global IT infrastructure, including upgrades, updates and patching to services and solutions.
  • Administration of technical infrastructure environments (storage, virtualization, servers, communication systems, and applications) including security configuration, backup administration, system and performance monitoring, and incident management.
  • Participation in Business Continuity testing of STERIS infrastructure environments and solutions.
  • Working with Manager, Infrastructure & Operations EMEA to identify Infrastructure requirements throughout the region.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in a related subject, or 5 years of working experience.
  • Experience working in an ITIL Framework environment.
  • Demonstrate advanced troubleshooting skills in the areas of Servers (virtual/physical), Storage, telephony services, LAN/WAN support and where required acquisitions.
  • Strong ability in writing technical documentation, maintaining the knowledge base, ensuring positive follow up and communication is maintained throughout.
