Nursery Deputy Manager Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Deputy Manager to support our team on a maternity cover basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Manager to ensure the highest standards of care and education for children.
  • Assist in staff recruitment and supervision, identifying training needs and fostering teamwork.
  • Plan and prepare engaging activities that support individual child development, in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Work with the team to create an enabling environment for children to play, develop, and learn.
  • Cover for the Manager in their absence, including opening and closing the nursery.
Requirements:
  • Level 3 Childcare Qualification (NNEB, BTEC Nat Dip, CACHE Dip in Childcare, NVQ Level 3, EY Educator).
  • Over 1 year's experience working in Early Years.
  • Passion and commitment for working in childcare.
  • Ability to work shifts between 7.30 am and 6.30 pm, Monday to Friday.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
