Join Our Team as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant. As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs in a variety of schools and settings.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about working with children and want to make a positive impact on their lives. As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide individualized support to students with special needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with special needs
  • Implement tailored learning plans and adapted teaching materials
  • Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and positive classroom environment
  • Monitor student progress
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Flexibility and creativity to adapting to student needs
  • Experience with special educational needs (desirable, not essential)

Location and Pay

This role is based in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, and the pay rate is £85-100 per day, equivalent to £425-£500 per week full-time.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, therefore all applicants will be subject to a full face-to-face registration and an Enhanced DBS check.
