Join Our Team as a Workshop Mechanical Technician

We are seeking a skilled Workshop Mechanical Technician to join our team at HMH in Aberdeenshire. As a key member of our Workshop team, you will be responsible for carrying out all aspects of repair, overhaul, and assembly on a variety of drilling equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to risk assessments and toolbox talks to ensure a safe working environment
  • Perform all job functions in a safe and efficient manner
  • Carry out Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) to Company standards
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of timesheets and inspection reports
  • Participate in the investigation of all unsafe practices and/or behaviors
  • Suggest improvements to working practices and HMH product lines
  • Ensure adherence to all local waste management policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 3/HNC or equivalent in a Mechanical Engineering discipline
  • Good working knowledge of fluid power systems
  • Experience in pressure testing (gas and fluid based)
  • Demonstrate knowledge of mechanical systems
  • Ability to read schematic and layout drawings
  • Effective communication skills in English (written and oral)
