Key Requirements: The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized qualification in social work
  • Current registration with Social Work England
  • In-depth knowledge of childcare legislation and statutory guidance
  • Comprehensive understanding of child development and parenting capacity
  • Ability to assess environmental factors and identify risk and protective elements

Service Delivery: You will be responsible for providing a thorough, effective, and integrated social work service within the framework of Southwark's practice model, managing intricate cases.

Practice Excellence: Your role will involve:

  • Delivering high-quality social work practice
  • Assessing complex needs and planning interventions
  • Collaborating with families, support networks, and professionals to manage risks and promote positive outcomes

Team Collaboration: You will work closely with your team to foster best practices and support the development of confident practitioners through coaching and mentoring of students and less experienced social workers.

Additional Benefits: We offer a referral bonus of up to £250 per person placed and double payrolls each week. All successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure via the DBS.
