Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a welcoming and inclusive school in Lambeth. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide individualized support to students with SEN, helping them to access the curriculum and overcome learning challenges.
- Work closely with teachers to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) that cater to the unique needs of each student.
- Assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes engagement, motivation, and social interaction among students.
- Support students with emotional and behavioral challenges, helping them to develop coping strategies and build resilience.
- Collaborate with external professionals, such as speech and language therapists, to provide additional support where required.
- Previous experience in a Learning Support Assistant or Teaching Assistant role is desirable, but not essential.
- A passion for working with young people, particularly those with additional needs such as autism, ADHD, or dyslexia.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- A flexible and patient approach to working with students who may face challenges in their learning.
