Planner/Estimator

Location: Bristol

Salary: 34,775 ppa

Proactive Global is seeking a dedicated Planner/Estimator to enhance our team. This role is ideal for individuals with a background in engineering estimation and planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze customer engineering drawings and specifications
  • Develop precise cost estimates for materials, labor, and services using IFS ERP system for customer quotations
  • Address technical inquiries from customers and suppliers
  • Create estimates for outsourced items and engineering costs
  • Identify new suppliers and subcontractors to ensure optimal value and competitive lead times
  • Provide comprehensive manufacturing steps, including tooling, bills of materials, and process routings
  • Assist with purchasing during peak periods
  • Collaborate with management to implement company policies and objectives
  • Perform additional duties as required by the business needs

Required Qualifications:

  • Relevant commercial engineering experience, preferably in the Aerospace sector
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer literate
  • Ability to work independently
  • Flexible, courteous, and positive demeanor
  • Maintain discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism
  • Eligibility to work in the UK

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as part of a team
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Recognized engineering trade qualification
  • Familiarity with ERP systems is advantageous
  • Experience in purchasing is a plus

Benefits:

  • Monday to Thursday: 7.30am to 4pm, Friday: 7.30am to 1pm (37.5 hours per week)
