Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized and small group assistance to students with various learning challenges.
  • Help implement tailored educational strategies and plans designed to meet each student's unique requirements.
  • Support classroom educators in executing lessons and managing educational activities.
  • Foster social interactions among students to enhance their interpersonal skills.
  • Track and document students' progress, offering constructive feedback to educators and families.
  • Assist students with personal care and mobility as necessary.
  • Ensure a safe and welcoming learning atmosphere for all students.
  • Collaborate with other educational professionals, including therapists and counselors, to support the holistic development of each student.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to remain informed about best practices in special education.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience working with children with diverse learning needs is highly preferred.
  • A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or a related discipline is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a positive demeanor.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures.
