Job Summary

Field Energy is seeking a highly skilled Senior Grid Connection Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will play a critical role in building our portfolio of battery energy storage projects, from initial design to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement grid connection strategies for new projects, ensuring compliance with transmission and distribution grid codes.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including project developers, project managers, and corporate development teams, to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Manage pre-construction engineering activities, including technical evaluation of sites, preparation of site layouts, and interpretation of third-party power system studies.
  • Support the technical due diligence process for lender/investor approval and coordinate with the grid development team.
  • Manage construction engineering activities, including analysis and evaluation of detailed design submissions, testing and commissioning, and handover to asset operations.
Requirements
  • Electrical Engineering degree and/or over 5 years of experience in a technical or grid-oriented role.
  • Good commercial mind and understanding of grid connections and project development processes.
  • Understanding of G99 end-to-end process, grid code, and CUSC requirements.
  • Pragmatic and proactive approach to quality management.
