We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to embark on a career in publishing within our dynamic publicity team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a collaborative environment, reporting directly to the Publicity Director. As a Publicity Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Publicity Director and the Children's Publicity Team, including managing schedules, processing invoices, and coordinating travel arrangements.
- Assist with publicity campaigns, which may involve booking author travel, managing budgets, organizing mailings, and supporting authors at events and interviews.
- Take ownership of specific publicity initiatives to enhance your skills and contribute to the overall success of the department.
- Oversee departmental processes, including managing awards submissions, organizing participation in festivals and conferences, and maintaining internal communication documents.
- Act as the primary contact for public and media inquiries, ensuring all communications are handled efficiently and professionally.
- Serve as the first point of contact for internal colleagues seeking assistance from the publicity team.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong organizational and time management abilities to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- A genuine interest in various media formats, including print, broadcast, and digital platforms, to stay informed about industry trends.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, essential for crafting press materials and keeping stakeholders informed.
