About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Research Assistant Practitioner to join our Pathology Clinical Trials Team at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and report on quality audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Support the Pathology R+D Facilitator in the management and training of Pathology Healthcare Science Support Workers.
  • Develop research knowledge to provide ongoing support to practitioners.
  • Conduct research studies in accordance with ICH Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards.
  • Identify and overcome barriers to patient recruitment into trials.
Requirements
  • Knowledge and understanding of healthcare or research environment.
  • Fully competent on Laboratory equipment and automation.
  • Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (desirable).
Qualifications and Experience
  • NVQ3 in a scientific/healthcare discipline with relevant experience or Foundation degree in relevant subject.
  • Experience managing complex information and dealing with a busy workload.
  • Informed consent training completed (desirable).
