We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Lending Director to join our team at MetroBank. As a key member of our Commercial Banking team, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and development in the Midlands/North region.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute a business plan to drive commercial lending growth and revenue in the Midlands/North region.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial brokers, identifying new business opportunities and delivering exceptional customer service.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to progress deals and ensure seamless execution.
- Lead the Deal Team, providing guidance and support to specialist managers as required.
- Coach and support Local Directors, Local Business Managers, and commercial colleagues to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Stay up-to-date with market trends and competitor activity, identifying opportunities to enhance our market position.
- Proven track record of success in commercial lending, with a strong understanding of transactions and lending appetite.
- Excellent communication and customer relationship management skills, with a focus on providing exceptional service.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering results-driven solutions.
- Knowledge of commercial lending products and services, including Asset & Invoice Finance, Cash Management, and commercial lending.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, including Credit, Lending & Securities, and Lending Operations.
