Position Overview

James Andrews Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking a locum Family Law Solicitor to join our client on a temporary basis. This role is designed for a professional with a strong background in childcare law.

The successful candidate will be engaged on a full-time contract, with a competitive hourly remuneration of £50 - £60 per hour, subject to negotiation based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing a personal caseload of approximately 15 cases, primarily concentrating on section 31 matters.
  • Conducting necessary advocacy for cases under your management, including but not limited to Case Management Hearings (CMH), Initial Review Hearings (IRH), and short final hearings.
  • Representing the local authority in court proceedings as required.
  • Integrating into a large, dynamic childcare legal team that offers substantial administrative support.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in Local Government law.
  • Preferably qualified as a Solicitor.

Work Schedule:

  • 37.5 hours per week.
  • Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM.

It is essential that applicants possess recent relevant experience to be considered for this position.
