IT Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled IT Support Administrator to maintain our IT systems and networks, executing technical and administrative tasks to optimize computer and networking systems.
This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic and ambitious individual to join a fast-paced team, where they can develop themselves further through exposure to key projects in a multinational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and configure software, hardware, and networks to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
- Assist with ensuring security and efficiency of IT infrastructure to protect against threats.
- Upgrade systems with new releases and models to stay up-to-date with technology.
- Set up new accounts and workstations to facilitate employee productivity.
- Contribute to an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies to promote knowledge sharing.
- Provide technical support to all employees to resolve IT-related issues.
- Design, plan, and execute training on the use of systems and networks to enhance employee skills.
- Install and configure hardware equipment and software programs to meet business needs.
- Oversee, track, and measure system and network performance to identify areas for improvement.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues by applying technical expertise, product knowledge, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Execute different maintenance activities as needed to ensure system reliability.
- Work with other IT professionals to ensure upholding IT standards and best practices.
- Perform other ad-hoc projects or tasks as assigned to support business objectives.
Requirements:
- Previous working experience in a Support or Network Administrator or similar role.
- Experience with databases and patch management to ensure data integrity.
- Knowledge of system security to protect against threats.
- Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms to ensure compatibility.
- The ability to adapt to different environments and responsibilities to meet business needs.
- Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude to resolve complex IT issues.
- In-depth knowledge of a variety of IT systems, databases, and applications to provide effective support.
- Familiarity with TCP/IP protocols and LAN/WAN configuration to ensure network reliability.
- Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and repairing complex IT issues to minimize downtime.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with employees and stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail with competent vocabulary to produce high-quality documentation.
- BA Information Technology, Computer Science, or Industry Certification to demonstrate expertise.
- Willingness to go the extra mile on certain projects when needed to support business objectives.
