About the Role:

At Next, we are seeking a highly motivated and organized Catering Assistant to join our dynamic catering team at our Head Office in Leicestershire. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the business with the provision and service of all food and drink within our onsite coffee shop and restaurant.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service by serving all food and drink in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Merchandise stock for sale, ensuring that our products are presented in an attractive and appealing way.
  • Prepare and deliver coffee and buffets for hospitality events, ensuring that all requirements are met.
  • Report any equipment faults or problems in the coffee shop and restaurant to management, ensuring that all issues are addressed promptly.
  • Operate tills and handle cash transactions, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Record fridge temperatures twice a day, ensuring that all food safety standards are met.
  • Complete all cleaning of service areas and equipment, maintaining a high level of hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Share ideas and information with work colleagues, contributing to a positive and collaborative team environment.
  • Ensure that all customers are dealt with in an efficient and friendly manner, providing a positive experience for all.

About You:

  • You will have a qualification in Food Hygiene level 2, demonstrating your commitment to food safety and hygiene.
  • You will have previous experience in a similar environment, such as a coffee shop or restaurant, and be able to demonstrate your skills and knowledge.
  • You will possess excellent customer service skills, being able to provide a high level of service to all customers.
  • You will be an excellent communicator, both written and verbal, and be able to work effectively with colleagues and management.
  • You will be a problem solver, able to think on your feet and come up with creative solutions to any issues that may arise.
  • You will be able to take initiative and make suggestions, contributing to the growth and development of the business.
  • You will be able to prioritize your work, ensuring that deadlines are met and tasks are completed to a high standard.
