Are you a skilled and certified Maintenance Engineer with a focus on electrical systems? If you are seeking an opportunity with a prominent facilities management provider, we have an exciting position for you.
We are currently on the lookout for a Multiskilled Engineer with an electrical specialization to join a facilities management company that delivers comprehensive services for a renowned global brand across a vast estate. This role involves collaborating with a large maintenance team to perform both reactive and planned maintenance across numerous buildings and over 80 mechanical rooms.
While the primary focus is on electrical work, candidates should be prepared to engage in mechanical tasks, HVAC systems, compressed air maintenance, restroom facilities, kitchen equipment, and roller shutter door servicing.

Key Responsibilities:
- Execute planned preventative maintenance (PPM) according to established schedules, ensuring engineering standards are upheld to maximize operational efficiency and reliability of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Comply with engineering standards in line with Health and Safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to electrical and mechanical PPM and equipment.
- Respond promptly to all electrical and mechanical reactive maintenance requests.
- Coordinate initial actions for all client requests and manage subcontractor visits for PPM tasks.
- Address call-outs and manage breakdowns and emergencies related to electrical and mechanical services.
- Conduct fault diagnosis for both PPM and reactive maintenance tasks.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on lighting and distribution systems.
- Assist other trades as necessary, demonstrating flexibility across disciplines.
- Provide reports regarding work and equipment as required.
- Undertake miscellaneous duties as requested by the client.
- Collaborate effectively within a team to ensure safe and efficient task completion.
- Possess a basic understanding of site-based systems and their interactions.
- Carry out LSP duties in accordance with L8 regulations.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- C&G part 1 & 2 (Electrical Installation 2360) or an equivalent qualification.
- Health and Safety training, including knowledge of risk assessments and method statements.
- Experience in similar maintenance roles, including fault diagnosis and rectification.
- Familiarity with electrical aspects of general building PPM schedules.
- Proficient in electrical installation work, along with testing and inspection.
- Strong understanding of critical and non-critical building systems.
- Experience with CAFM PPM Management Systems (Concept) via handheld devices.
Desirable:
- C&G Electrical Inspection and Testing (or equivalent).
- 18th Edition IEE Electrical Regulations.
- Knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS).
- Basic mechanical understanding.
- Familiarity with COSHH and handling of substances.
