We are seeking an experienced and skilled pharmacist to lead our Rheumatology and Bone Health services at Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality pharmaceutical care to patients with rheumatological and bone health conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the provision and development of clinical pharmacy services to the Rheumatology and Bone Health department.
- Provide expert pharmaceutical support and advice to all Rheumatology and Bone Health services.
- Act as a clinical role model and lead all pharmacy staff in the provision of a high standard of clinical pharmacy services.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve the quality and safety of pharmaceutical care.
- Collaborate with clinicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care pathways.
- Participate in clinical research, audit, and quality improvement projects.
- Monitor and analyze drug expenditure to identify trends and make recommendations for cost savings.
- Vocational master's degree in pharmacy (or BPharm equivalent).
- Registered as a pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent from a recognized UK provider (min 2 years).
- Independent prescribing qualification.
- Extensive post-registration hospital pharmacy practice experience.
- Demonstrable experience of successful project management.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- Management Training Qualification.
- Project management qualification.
- Member of Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain.
- Member of UKCPA.
- At least 5 years post-registration hospital pharmacy practice experience.
- Experience of working in a rheumatology department.
- Experience of managing clinical trials.
