Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced pharmacist to lead our Rheumatology and Bone Health service. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical pharmacy practice, with experience in managing complex patients with rheumatological and bone health conditions. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of clinical pharmacy services in Rheumatology and Bone Health, working closely with clinicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of clinical pharmacy services in Rheumatology and Bone Health, including the provision of specialist clinics and advice to clinicians.
  • Work closely with clinicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care, including the management of complex patients with rheumatological and bone health conditions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including pharmaceutical companies and research organizations, to ensure access to the latest treatments and research opportunities.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to pharmacy staff on the use of biologic medicines and other treatments for rheumatological and bone health conditions.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to clinical trials and research in Rheumatology and Bone Health.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits to ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety.

Requirements

  • Registered pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Postgraduate qualification in clinical pharmacy or equivalent
  • Experience in clinical pharmacy practice, with a strong background in managing complex patients with rheumatological and bone health conditions
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
