Key Responsibilities:
As a Community Relations Coordinator, you will collaborate with the Community team to engage with over 260 parishes across Somerset. Your role will involve processing, assessing, and delivering work requests while keeping the local community network informed of progress.
Your daily tasks will include:
- Engaging with local community networks to receive and manage work requests, coordinating with contractors to ensure safe execution of tasks, and collaborating with networks for payment processing.
- Conducting site inductions, briefings, and toolbox talks while maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with Somerset IMS procedures.
- Overseeing staffing levels, actively managing performance, and facilitating training and development in line with business requirements.
- Evaluating plant and material requirements for tasks, performing risk assessments and safety checks, and managing budgets effectively.
- Utilizing IMS procedures to promote health and safety, conducting risk assessments, scheduling works, and updating network assets.
Candidate Profile:
This position is ideal for individuals who:
- Possess leadership capabilities and have experience in the highways sector, including knowledge of network operations and project delivery.
- Exhibit strong stakeholder management skills across various levels.
- Are proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
