Job Title: Commercial Policy Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Policy Advisor to join our team at Action on Smoking and Health Scotland. As a key member of our Policy, Information and Communications Team, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing evidence-based policy positions to reduce the harms caused by tobacco and related products in Scotland.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct in-depth policy analysis to inform our advocacy work and support the development of policy positions.
  • Identify and analyze policies related to tobacco control and public health improvement internationally, nationally, and at community level in Scotland.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including policymakers, researchers, and community groups.
  • Support the development of fundraising events, campaigns, and initiatives to engage the Lanarkshire community and raise awareness of our service.
  • Assist in the maintenance and expansion of our collection can base, which is currently available in over 200 businesses throughout Lanarkshire.
Requirements:
  • Driver's Licence and own vehicle is essential.
  • Passionate about the service we deliver and the community we serve.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
