Ribbons and Reeves are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to support teenagers with severe SEMH needs in a well-respected secondary SEN school in Newham.

About the School

The school is a newly opened institution that is part of a prestigious learning trust, known for its high-achieving students who often go on to attend top universities. The school is an oversubscribed secondary Special School with an exceptional SENDCo and leadership senior team.

Job Summary

This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience from a top-performing SEN school. As a Teaching Assistant, you will support teenagers' wellbeing and help them achieve their academic goals, who have severe SEMH needs. Your aim will be to positively impact and improve vulnerable teenagers with SEMH difficulties on their mental, emotional, and academic skills and overall experience at school.

About You

We are looking for a resilient, committed, and compassionate individual with a minimum 2:1 in Psychology from a top 20 UK University. You should have previous experience working in a SEN school supporting students with SEMH needs. You should be keen to make a positive impact on students' mental, emotional, and academic skills.
