Join Our Team as a SEMH Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our team at Tradewind Recruitment. As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with complex needs and challenging behaviors.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a specialist SEMH school in Westminster, supporting students with a range of needs, including Autism, ADHD, and sensory processing difficulties. As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the teaching staff to provide individualized support and create a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students with complex needs and challenging behaviors
  • Work closely with teaching staff to develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Provide a safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working with students with SEND and/or Autism, ADHD, and sensory processing difficulties
  • Secondary Teaching Assistant or Learning Mentor experience
  • Ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents
  • A passion for working with students with complex needs
